2023 KTM 690 Enduro R β Fully Built Lightweight Adventure Weapon
Asking: $17,900 CAD
This is not a stock 690 with a few shiny parts bolted on.
This is a properly built KTM 690 Enduro R with many of the upgrades serious 690 riders end up doing anyway β because as good as these bikes are from the factory, everyone who knows them knows the gaps.
The KTM 690 is one of the rare unicorn bikes: tuned to 74 HP, 54 ft/lbs of torque, roughly 350 lbs, and real dirt-bike DNA. It is light enough to be fun off-road, powerful enough to cover serious highway and backroad distance, and capable of carrying luggage without turning into a bloated adventure bike.
In my opinion, this is about the smallest adventure bike possible that can still carry luggage well β without making huge compromises to ride quality.
And with limited kilometres, this bike is still a spring chicken. It has the expensive upgrades, but not the tired-out mileage.
The 690 Story
The stock KTM 690 is an incredible platform, but serious 690 riders usually end up fixing the same things: fuelling, exhaust, emissions restrictions, suspension, luggage, protection, controls, comfort, and fuel/access convenience.
This bike has already had that work done.
It is fully desmogged, has a BT-Moto reprogrammed ECU, and runs a full Arrow exhaust. That combination wakes the bike up properly and lets the LC4 engine breathe the way it should. The 690 is already a beast on paper, but once uncorked, it becomes the bike people hope they are buying in the first place.
The suspension has also been seriously upgraded with WP XPLOR PRO 6500 cartridge forks, widely considered one of the best handling upgrades you can do to a KTM 690. This is a major improvement over stock and helps close one of the biggest known gaps for riders who actually push these bikes off-road.
The result is a 690 that is much closer to what this platform should be: powerful, light, rugged, luggage-capable, and properly set up for real-world adventure riding.

Build Cost Reality
A clean recent-year KTM 690 is already a serious investment. But if you buy one and then build it properly yourself, the costs add up very quickly.
By the time you buy the bike, pay the taxes and fees, add the WP XPLOR PRO suspension, full Arrow exhaust, BT-Moto ECU tune, desmog work, fuel system upgrades, luggage platform, crash protection, controls, comfort parts, and all the other 690-specific fixes, you are very reasonably into the $30,000 CAD range β even if you do the wrenching yourself.
That is the point of this bike.
You can absolutely go buy a cheaper stock 690 and build it yourself. But if you actually build it to this level, you will spend a lot more than my asking price getting here.

Who This Bike Is For
This is not a beginner dual-sport.
It is not a couch-on-wheels adventure bike.
It is for someone who understands why the KTM 690 exists β and understands how much money it takes to turn one into the bike it should have been from the factory.
If you are looking at 690s, you probably already know the story: incredible platform, a few well-known shortcomings, and a rabbit hole of expensive upgrades if you want it done right.
This one has been done right. Project complete.
Asking $17,900 CAD.
Why sell this? Well, we love to buy stuff, test it, adjust it, ride it, film it, then sell it. There is a solid list of people picking up the heavily discounted bikes that we churn out. This is one of 5 bikes we are selling this year. None of them are bad deals as we are just software nerds trying to clear out the storage until for our new stuff. Good people, good bikes, good deals.
Whatβs Not Great?
The tires are ready to be replaced. If offered close to asking price I may throw in one of the spare font tires I have kicking around.
