FLOYDMANIA IN THE KOOTES

I'm from Vernon, Floyd is from near Castlegar. Our plans to ride the Chilcotin were thwarted by forest fires. Plan B was to have Floyd show me around the Kootenays. Sept. 22 we met up in Fauquier and rode as far east as Braimore Alberta. We hit a number of classic mountain passes and peaks such as Hailstorm Ridge, Retallack, Buchannan Lookout, Gray Creek Pass, Galway Pass to Kimberly, VOR above Cranbrook, Crevice Fire Lookout, Gold Creek, Mt Baker, Cabin Pass, Flathead pass, Racehorse Pass, Plane crash outside Braimore, Kootenay Pass and Bull River FSR to Whiteswan Lake near Canal Flats where we parted ways for home Sept.29.
